Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information ReceiptGenPro (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you use this website, how it is used, and the choices you have.

The Receipt Generator Runs in Your Browser

The core receipt-generator tool on this site is client-side: when you enter a business name, customer name, item, price, or upload a logo, that information is processed directly in your browser to render and export your receipt. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. If you close the browser tab without downloading, that data is gone — we never had a copy of it.

What Happens Today

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site. It loads only if you click Accept on the cookie banner; until then no analytics script runs. No advertising network is active, and our own code sets no cookies.

Stored in your browser, never uploaded

The receipt generator keeps these in your browser’s own storage so you don’t have to retype things. They never leave your device:

  • rgp-design (localStorage): the receipt design you picked last.
  • rgp-last-receipt-number (localStorage): the number of the last receipt you downloaded, so the next one continues from it.
  • rgp-form:<page address> (sessionStorage): the form you are filling in, and your logo, so a reload doesn’t lose them. It is deleted when you close the tab.
  • rgp-business-profile (localStorage, only if you tick “Remember my business details on this device”): your business name, address, contact details, tax number, logo and currency, so your next receipt starts with them on any page of the generator. It stays on your device until you click “Forget saved details”, untick the box, or clear this site’s data in your browser, and it is never uploaded.

Services that receive your IP address

  • Hosting. The site is hosted by Hostinger and served through the Hostinger CDN and LiteSpeed cache. Like any web server, they receive your IP address, browser type and the page you ask for, and the host keeps standard server logs for security and troubleshooting (Hostinger privacy policy).
  • cdnjs (Cloudflare). The generator loads three open-source libraries (qrcode-generator, html2canvas and jsPDF) from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, so Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details for those files (Cloudflare privacy policy).
  • Google Analytics (Google). Only after you accept cookies: Google receives your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you view and the page you came from, and sets the _ga and _ga_T47P9EX906 cookies. We also count which download button (PDF, PNG or JPG) is clicked; nothing you type into a receipt is sent. It never runs on the receipt check page. You can opt out with the cookie banner (“Cookie settings” in the footer) or Google’s opt-out add-on (Google privacy policy).
  • Email. If you email us, we receive what you send and use it only to reply.

Analytics Now, Ads Later

Google Analytics is the only analytics service on this site, and it loads only after you accept cookies. We may later add Google AdSense; before that, we will name it on this page, and it will wait for your consent too. Your choice is then kept in your browser’s localStorage (rf_cookie_consent).

Once they are on, these services and their partners automatically collect standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and referring URL, typically through cookies and similar technologies, for analytics and advertising.

Google and other third-party advertising vendors use cookies (such as the Google DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Google Analytics is used only to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the UK, you generally have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (including for advertising). Contact us using the details on our Contact page to exercise these rights.

Your Rights (California / CCPA-CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (which can include certain advertising cookie practices). Contact us to make a request.

Children’s Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Retention

Because the receipt generator itself processes data client-side, we do not retain the content of receipts you create. Standard technical/analytics data collected by third-party services is retained according to those services’ own retention policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
